The Concordia Joint Replacement Group provides access to educational resources developed by the Winnipeg Regional Health Authority (WRHA) to support patients preparing for hip or knee replacement surgery.
These free educational videos are designed to help you manage arthritis, make healthy lifestyle changes, and prepare for joint replacement surgery. You can begin reviewing this information while waiting to see your surgeon, and continue once surgery has been planned.

Mandatory Education
Important:
After you have completed all mandatory videos, you must notify your surgeon’s office.
This confirmation allows your surgical team to proceed with the next steps in your surgical planning.
Failure to confirm completion may result in a delay to your surgery date.
These WRHA videos replace the previous in-person or online mandatory education classes. If you have older manuals or pamphlets that refer to a “mandatory class,” please note that these videos now fulfill that requirement.
The online format allows you to review the material at a time that works best for you, including evenings and weekends. Family members and caregivers are encouraged to watch the videos so they can better support you throughout your joint replacement journey. Videos may be re-watched at any time.
